PhD studies at the University of Bristol Long Ashton Research Station investigated gibberellin perception in wild oat aleurone (Avena fatua). Postdoctoral work with Cliff Bray (Manchester) on peptide transporters in the germinating barley and DNA repair pathways in Arabidopsis.
